Global crises and many unsettlements of our life take place due to underdevelopment of human spirituality and are caused by stupidity, ignorance, greediness, envy and other human vices. Modern society’s theory and practice are based at best on man’s mental abilities only or just on his elementary common sense.

I would add one more argument. As the history of the latest centuries has shown, the human mind though it has huge progressive importance, isn’t able to establish God’s reign on the earth and make a spiritual breakthrough in development of culture, since human mind can’t perform such tasks, isn’t the mind’s function. That’s of why it must be admitted that besides sensible and mental levels of cognition, there is a third stage of comprehending the man and the world – spiritual which can be used at full capacity only by a few people. But it turns out that only spiritual stage of cognition allows man to reach wisdom, comprehend other spiritual values and inculcate them as the highest truth.

Let’s remember that for old-time Russians God’s wisdom was the main sacred value together with its other displays and reaching Sophian people’s life. The testimony for that can be the words written in “Russian truth”. It was written there that citizens of Novgorod the Great, who built a democratic society in Russ (old Russia) more than 1000 years ago, called each other sophianians, that is sages. Wisdom was looked upon by them as the foundation and essence of personality’s moral framework, allowing to settle the life on the basis of the system of highest truths and values: love, mercy, kindness, beauty, justice and others. These truths are inherent in human nature from the birth both in the form of spiritual and religious instinct and basic values determining the way and content of man’s life. With the help of mainly Sophian folk customs, traditions and forms of household.

That’s why for the age of spirituality to come to Russia it is very important to begin an all round rebirth of wisdom as spiritual and moral basis of every personality, introduce it in all spheres of people’s social and every day life. Leaders of the countries who will want to be at the head of implementing this task should get the ruling elite and that huge army of bureaucracy accept wisdom as paradigm of people’s culture and basic for theory and practice of running the society. The time has come for the governing elite to realize that maintaining stupidity and moral degradation about the people, closing before people ways towards reaching wisdom makes it more difficult to manage them. It is thousand times more difficult for authorities to rule stupid people and reach higher goals with them. But it is easier to satisfy vile and criminal ambitions of bureaucrats  and business tycoons, so the collapse of society’s spiritual culture is taking place.

In order to understand the destructive nature of conscious stupefying their own people it is necessary to comprehend the fundamental significance of wisdom for spiritual and moral rebirth of individuals, peoples and state officials only then some efficient policy of stage-by-stage evolution of Russia will be possible. We who are living in the third millennium should finally realize that wisdom is the essence and foundation of spiritual culture of their richness in traditions, customs, sayings and proverbs and other forms of people’s being.

Deep penetration of Russian people in social, moral and spiritual essence of comprehending wisdom was exactly reflected by Vladimir Dal’ in his Dictionary of live great-Russian language. Wisdom, quality a wise man, combination of the truth and the good, the highest truth merger of love and truth, the highest state of mental and moral perfection. (see Explanatory Dictionary of Russian Language. Modern version pp 393-394). “That’s why it is urgent to reanimate  Sophian folk culture of Russia as genuine national idea, as the idea of saving the nation!” Let nation’s spiritual culture of reviving wisdom become a special state program of our country.  Maybe then our bureaucracy will follow China’s example, where all state officials have been taking an exam on knowing wisdom of Confucius teaching as special state philosophy of this country for more than 2000 years. In Russia such a task can be performed by Orthodox outlook and philosophy as it was understood by V.I. Dal’: “Love for wisdom is science on reaching wisdom by a man, on conceiving the truth and the good, on basics of thinking and cognition” (pp 688).

Over the last centuries of the Russian history lowering of society’s attention to wisdom as the most important universal human and Christian value has taken place.  In order to understand what wisdom is it is possible to use the next definition: Wisdom=(Love+Profound Knowledge, Skills)•Consciousness.

It can be added that man’s wisdom is his ability of thinking not only with his mind but also with his heart, that is the ability of seeing himself, people and nature with the eyes of understanding and loving soul. That’s why wisdom is the highest integral truth of  man’s being, inculcated in his heart, mind and way of life, that is in his thoughts, feelings and actions.
