What is the future of Humanity and human beings?
1. The destruction and self-destruction of man are sufficient signs to think about the risk of extinction of life on Earth. The disintegration of humanity and the asymmetry between rich and poor is increasing instability in the system. What is the future of mankind? Knowing the future that awaits us, we can find alternatives for the conservation of human life. Even if this attempt is an anthropocentric attitude, we are beings of the universe and we respond to the same principle of conservation, we affirm the conservation of our being. In search for possibilities of conservation we get lost on the road without a solution, and we go on with our lives to self-destruction.
2. Man is the main actor in its destruction and the destruction of nature. Why is man destructive? Destruction is not an invention of man, is the mode of existence of all beings in the universe. We are all dependent entities, we all want to exist and the principle of conservation is for everyone. We all struggle to exist and in this fight some live and others die. Thus, man is conserved, increasing its power and destructiveness.
3. There are two possible extinction of humanity: 1) the reaction of nature; 2) the self-destruction of man. The first possibility can be remedied by adapting ourselves to the laws of nature, mainly, contributing to ecological balance. The second possibility is more dangerous, however is within the possibility of man.
4. Vices contribute to the self-destruction of man and vice is a mental program that leads to its own destruction. The only way to save the individual is to change its mental self-destruction program. Humanity has the same problem; it has a destructive paradigm of life. This paradigm is founded on individualism, misunderstood freedom, asymmetric progress and power. We have an education based on individualism, and we have a model of individual life. Individualism leads to a progressive career, and the result is the asymmetry between rich and poor. It is impossible to be rich without depending on the poor. We believe in freedom as a universal value and strengthen our individualism but the idea of being free is a delusion. If all entities of the universe are dependent, freedom is a myth that has only helped us reach our place in the world. What are we as humanity? The most fragile species on Earth. The supposed progress has led us to a dangerous situation. Individualism does not permit us to live and think as integrated humanity. Individualism is not a part of our genetic information; it is a product of society and culture. On one hand, society needs to reproduce and to be preserved, and from this arises culture. The culture is reproduced in each individual and for the individual to integrate into society he puts into practice the culture received. Culture is reproduced in each individual through education. Thus the individualistic model of education in the paradigm of modern man is a medium that contributes to the destruction of man.
5. Given the situation, a first step would be to change the individualistic model of education to a universal education, according to the global age in which we live. We have to be aware of the cultural differences that have to be saved in the process of globalization. Ignoring the conservation of humanity, we would be committing the worst crime. Imposing a universal model of education would be canceling the cultural differences.
6. Is the cultural difference a problem for humanity? Nature is older than man and has many hidden truths yet unknown. For example, in nature there is no homogenous system. All systems in nature are composed of different elements. Therefore, diversity is the basis for the establishment of a system. Worldwide, there are cultural differences, therefore, one of the strengths of humanity is cultural difference. The cultural difference of humanity is the basis for integration.
7. To achieve the integration of humanity we must first prepare the individual for integration based on the strength of cultural identity. For the formation of man, we need a new philosophy of education, an education for the integration of humanity. This means we have to form human identity in its three levels of organization: Individual, society and Humanity. The stages of education for the integration of humanity are: 1) the formation of individual identity; 2) the formation of social and cultural identity; 3) the formation of human identity or universal identity, suitable for the integration of humanity. Therefore, universal education implies human beings universal formation.
8. What are the foundations of philosophy of education? The first foundation is the knowledge of the nature and essence of the human being, or the anthropological basis. The second foundation is the knowledge of the sense of human life, or axiological basis. The third foundation is the ontological knowledge base.
9. After processing the basic, ontological, axiological and anthropological, the next task is to integrate them to form a philosophical system. This philosophical system will give us an overview of the man and the world we live in, with which we can form the worldview of future generations. The universal education consists in forming each person in their worldview. The worldview is a spiritual necessity of the human. All cultures in each stage of their history have developed their worldview in the form of beliefs, myths, religions, science and philosophy. The existence of conceptions of the world in every culture is an indicator of a man's need to understand the world in which we interact.
10. The formation of the worldview, that is equivalent to the formation of the human being is a need for conservation and reflects the principle of conservation of the human being. This indicates that people interact with society, nature and the universe. As a result of this interaction arises its spiritual dimension. The formation of the spiritual dimension is in fact the formation of the worldview and this world view reflects a universal human formation. The conception of the world is a spiritual system and this spiritual system gives stability to the human spirit. This is the goal of education: To guide the formation of the universal human. Having a universal formation is to have a universal identity, is the stage in which the human being reaches its integration into the universe. If humanity achieves this goal, all citizens will overcome the spiritual instability in all forms: either individual, social or human. If this achieved, the integration is inevitable. Humanity integrated as a system will be far more able to reach conservation on Earth.
11. The problem of education in the world today is the individualistic model of education. This model reaches only a fragmentary formation of the spirit, so modern man suffers his existential crisis, the loss of sense of life; he becomes a victim of spiritual disintegration and involution. Thus, each generation degenerates before universal realization. This global degeneration gives rise to a dangerous man. Therefore, universal formation is equivalent to the flowering of the spirit which becomes the fruit of the cultural creation.
12. The future of humanity depends on integration. The integration of humanity depends on universal formation. The universal formation depends on a new philosophy of education. The philosophy of education depends on the philosophy itself that has to rethink its foundations. This is a task for all the thinkers of the Earth, mainly philosophers. In consequence the future of humanity lies in the hands of philosophers.
13. According with the conservation principle, philosophers will assume their duty to humanity. Thus, the principle of conservation will determine the destiny of mankind. The future that awaits humanity is its integration, i.e., to become a stable system integrated with nature. Its conservation will depend on the harmony in the interaction with nature. This indicates that the future of humanity is a way of complying with the laws of nature.
14. Since there is a direct relation between individualism and selfishness, there is a contradiction between the prevailing model of education and conservation efforts of humanity. The conservation of humanity requires a universal consciousness, however, the present model of education is individualistic, so, such education contributes to the world with selfish individuals.
15. Humanity's problems stem mainly from cultural and social exclusion. The task of integration begins in the formation of appropriate individuals and societies. Therefore universal formation is necessary for the integration of humanity. The formation of individual and social identity must be completed with the formation of human identity and universal identity. The universal identity and universal consciousness is a step in the integration of humanity. Only the integration of humanity will be a solution to their internal problems.
16. The diversity of cultures is the basis for the conservation of humanity. A culture in general cannot be the measure for other world cultures. Every culture must achieve universal human identity, and promote the same goal in other cultures. This means that humanity is composed of three levels of identity: individual identity, social identity and human identity. The universal formation of man is the way for integrating human identity. The universal human formation is the way to arrive at the integrative human identity. Homogenous identity concept can be understood as the final result of the integration of humanity. The integration of humanity involves the conservation of cultural differences. Only differences are integrated, because they complement. Thus, Citizenship of the Earth-XXI must have its individual identity, social identity and universal human identity. That is his three levels of integrated identity.
17. From this point of view it necessary to assess the problem of education worldwide. The present individualistic formation must be complemented with a universal formation. The universal formation is the basis for the creation of a universal consciousness. And universal consciousness in its turn will open intercultural dialogue for the integration of humanity.
18. Mankind is constantly being transformed by man himself and nature. Until now, the transformation of man have led us to disintegration, conflict, and self-destruction. Therefore, we must promote the integration of family, society and humanity. The right way is education. The right goal is universal formation. The ideal institution with authority to take this initiative is the proposal Socratic Philosophical School of WPF.
19. The objective of the integration of humanity is its conservation. The conservation of humanity implies the conservation of all cultures and societies worldwide. The conservation of society implies the preservation of the family and the individual. Therefore, the conservation of humanity is the highest value. On this basis we can establish the hierarchy of values. Universal values respond to the conservation of humanity. Social values respond to the conservation of society. And the individual values respond to the conservation of the individual. This hierarchy of values is the basis for the universal formation of man. Universal formation includes three levels of identity formation: individual identity, social identity and human identity. We can see how important it is for today's world to cultivate universal formation and human identity as a condition for the integration of humanity.
